![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, the truth is that the site I have with automatic irrigation is easier, healthier, and much less stressful for me. That being said I have found that a couple of the individual plant sites do not get water properly. Knowing what I know now I would get the irrigation in earlier, like in March, and put serious time into working out all the kinks, measuring the amount of water delivered to each site per unit time, and whatall. Also, burying the irrigation house or drip line is important as I am sure this would stick out to a chopper flying overhead. It took awhile for me to get this up, but it was well worth the effort as carrying water is hard, risky, and less likely to happen (to be completely honest). Don't think I'll be doing a guerrilla grow again without some sort of automatic watering irrigation in the future. So much less time consuming, really just a matter of checking to make sure everything is working and occasionally feeding them nutes. One could actually have a romantic partner, go to summer festivals, go on backpacking trips and whatever with a proper irrigation setup and still have beautiful plants.

![]() | All the talk of buckets and tarps just to irrigate would make me paranoid to go back to the plant site fellas, even if it is doing all the irrigation by its self. I know its a pain watering by hand from a stream. I used to have to do it very late at night from a stream 30 yards away from the grow site that had nothing but dense thorn filled bushes, but i found a solution for the problem . "solar submersible pumps" they are used for outdoor fountains or ponds . i ran the hose from the stream to the site in late fall , lightly buried under the brush so that in spring it can be covered. capped off the end of the hose and drilled quarter inch holes in the hose near the site. Depending on the pump size and length of the hose you might have to drill holes every one or two feet along the hose to regulate the pressure a bit and have a normal flow. This is where i purchased my pump, https://cheappumps.com/products.php?al=solarpumps

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What worked well for me was to have one of those 50 gallon plastic drums with the top cut off, uphill from the grow sight. It was under some brush and trees, and well hidden from air, and foot. Drilled a hole near the bottom of it and attached a hose spigot. Attached a battery operated water timer to the spigot outside of the drum. From the water timer I ran a drip line downhill with spaghetti tubes running off to each individual plant. Plastic drum was fed by a small springfed streamlet. Ran a short length of PVC pipe to accomplish this. The climate here is very wet in winter, dry in summer. Fortunately the water supply remained all summer. Plastic drum was free. Spigot was a couple of bucks. Forget how much the drip line cost. Water timer was about 60 bucks. It was important to get a water timer that did not require water pressure. There were cheaper ones but they did not work so well.
