Im still trying to sort out sex this late in the game. I keep thinking if I were a more expierienced grower like some of you I would have realized that at least a couple of the plants ive been nurseing along could be boys and would have disposed of them. My camera sucks at taking those tight internode shots that people put up to help them ask the age old question, what sex could it be? Seems it's always mid August but I tend to forget when I eventually found the males dureing previous years. Know nuts or bannanas anywhere and all my plants are pushing chest high.
When your doing a grow indoors after a two month veg and a 10 day wait in 12/12 you are pretty much guaranteed to see pre-flowers or boys. Not quite that simple outdoors, much longer growing season when you start early and the plants keep their lips sealed as to their gender for the longest time.
I always get a kick to see guys up north with their buds starting to form in August when I usually dont see much bud formation tell Sept and finish always in late Oct.
My fem plants so far are looking like 1/2 pounders so far but they may surprise me after a stretch of some sorts in the months ahead.

Here's my dillema at the moment. I have a couple of beautys in 15 gal pots that could be bumped up to some tree box's I have laying around. The nursery is close by and I could drop another $50 on some Ocean Forrest mix for the transplants but are these plants im so in love with really girls 100% and worth the investment of more pricey soil and time just to find out there males in the weeks ahead? Im doing it anyway and may be played the fool by maybe one of them but if I dont transplant them I will feel bad latter on for not giving them a better environment. Im plum out of holes I can dig so I must delegate what remaining plants I have to larger containers for the end game.

Alright, I finally got some pictures of what I'm working with. The first pic is North Shore Blue, and the second is Blackberry Kush. I'm thinking these will produce at least 2-3lbs each. These pictures are a little older, because as of now they are both as tall as the little shed, around 8 feet tall.

Well ckpland it looks like your the front runner so far my plants are about half your size.

I still have my fingers crossed that one of these may give me a pound but not so sure about now. Sure to get a bunch of smoke and it's been two weeks since my last photo shoot.

The biggest problem sometimes is getting enough supports to prop up the buds so they dont get all horizontal. I dont think I will have that problem this year. Did I mention this plant back in 2007 produced over 7 pounds, so it can be done. I never will be so lucky as to have another one of these but it's sure fun to look at the old photos.

This one was taken the day before harvest on Oct 20th 2007
So none of you would like to have a plant like this growing in your backyard?

Always whoring that plant..

There I go with the jealousy again.

That thing was such a damn beast, swordfish. I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking that I haven't ever seen another plant that big..
