could you cut it off below the green growth, take it inside and root it and then take it outside and start over????

did the stem wood off? and this is new growth? ....

I don't want to guess. please fill out nursery questionnaire and a pic would be great too

Plant is not growing
permalink

I took the plant out and put a small hole in the soil then put the plant back in and covered up that weakened stem but, After I did that the plant doesn`t seem to be growing anymore it looks the same way as it did when I covered up that stem.

I did this like two days ago.

Is this normal ?

Should I give it some fertilizer now ? Or what can I do ?

I thought I just would but this thread back up instead of making a new one.

You could give a very light feeding. 2 days isn't much for the plant to do... just be patient and let the plant tell you what it needs...post some pics, that would help us

wrap around stem causing stem rot Kostral?

burying it would make that worse by increasing the moisture and rot rate.

uncover stem and spray with a fungicide, or just let dry out.

if it needs support, put in a stake.

If it is a deep wound, you might have to prepare for the worst sorry. nigel

morning, i've had plants (indoor) where in the middle of the plant the main stem seemed to have dried up, the stem itself became woody looking while the rest of the plant above and below this given area remained green and healthy..
Leaves dried and fell off almost like a stem rot without the rot part. On mine I ended up cloning (topping) the plant above the "damaged" area and allowing the lower portion below this damaged area to continue to grow out..
I did notice on a couple of clones (namely an AK47 clone in my last session) this damage seemed to move down the stem and follow the path of a branch, though movement was very very slow it did seem the damage whatever it was continued through the plant.
This may not be your prob although the browning of the stem sounds like it..
I hope it isn't and wish you luck in figuring out what your prob is, as mentioned filling out the questionaire would be more helpful along with a photo
