![]() | In my garden on some plants, I have no idea what kind they are. There's probably a few thousands of them, they're small & red & from what I've read they're Potato Aphids. They've been on these plants for about a month. My babies have been only inches away from them their entire lives & they have yet to spread to any other plants or do any visible damage to the plants they've been on. I can try to post some pics if needed, but I'm not sure how we'll my shitty digi will pic them up. Edit* Here's the best I could do on the pics. ![]() ![]() I blasted them with the neem. They seemed unharmed, this was @ 11am EST & there's no decrease in activity. I read Ladybugs are murder on Aphids, so if they're a real danger. I'll be investing in some LB's very soon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | spray them with a pyrethrin based soap. safers soap. you can buy it concentrated or diluted. you can also use neem oil or use both . Safers Soap and Neem Oil they're not harmless they will halt the growth of the plant completely if there are enough of them. they tend to feed on the growth tips in large numbers. spray it once a day at night until they're no more. ladybugs work better indoors or in greenhouses where they can't fly away.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Ladybugs won't leave as long as there's plenty of food.. Which there looks to be. Just pick up some ladybugs and make them a nice little house. I was beginning to have a problem with some aphids/white flies, but then a few ladybugs showed up and now there's a few ladybugs that just hang out around my plants. No problems since. ladybugs, fresh ladybugs, live ladybugs, lady bugs Last edited by MeatRo; 06-28-2009 at 03:58 PM..
