Hi All, Trying to grow this year using Botanicare Organic nutrients. Hoping to get away from the harsh chemical taste that seems to plague me even though I do the recommended flushes. I only have access to water that is around 9 - 9.5 ph. I'm having to use a great deal of PH Down to bring it to the desired range and am wondering if anyone knows how this affects my soil as far as residues or even taste of the finished bud? Thanks! gf

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think you could leave out the PH Down in the final week..Just flush w/ reg non PH'ed tap water then water maybe once or twice more that week w/ reg non PH'ed if needed.. I'd let the soil dry out comepletely before chop.

it probably wouldn't kill your plant but that ph is problematicly high. another completely off topic post there, cancer.... as long as your don't use ph for pools, you'll be fine. as a matter of fact, you'd effect the taste if you didn't ph it down, it would cause potassium issues, which plays a big roll in developing the flavour of your buds. vinegar or lime juice works as well, but doesn't keep it as stable. better to just spend the ten buck and pick up some good ph down. I've been that route. phosforic or nitric acid is where it's at. happy growing -Matt

And your post was more off topic than mine was.. If you even bothered to read the OP he said he is already using PH Down. I swear some ppl need to take a break from the bong for a little while. Last edited by cancer_patient1; 07-03-2009 at 02:36 AM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm fully aware that he is using ph down, I was simply responding to swaps response. my 2 cents, high ph doesn't work well with lime or lemon. not that strange to send you a pm about a post I don't understand is it? maybe you need to take your own advice and put the bong down a while, clear as a bell here. here you are again making a fool out of yourself...me more off topic? LOL...well at least I addressed his question. ![]() [admin note: flame removed]

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That "attitude" ? WTF do you mean? Dude, I posted a comment "wow" in one of your threads.. Then for NO F'ING REASON WHAT SO EVER, you get all paranoid and think it was some negative remark ( God only knows why ) and now you "have it in for me" now? W/E dude.. I tried my best to explain to you that my "wow" comment was in no way negative.. But I cannot be bothered waisting any more energy on caring what you think from here on out.. Im way too old and way too tired to give a damn.. Sorry man , but you have real issues. Last edited by mr. hyde; 07-03-2009 at 02:45 AM..
