![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I kinda figured you wanted the plants mobile, Smokey. Even this late, I think it would still be a good idea to transplant that indica into a bigger pot. I agree the roots could use more room and that size bag might be baking in the August heat. I'm gonna make a guess that the sativas will keep flowering in current day length but bud growth may slow for the next 2 -3 weeks. Then they will take off again until harvest! (Remember this is a GUESS, I am not an outdoor grower.) About those plants in the ground? I think sunlight has been a major limiting factor. How much direct sun do they get each day? Doesn't look like much, rather forested there.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Reederx I see I wasn't completly clear. The indica plant is being grown indoors, I just brought it outside for the day to let it get some real sunlight in the hope of making it happier. It's back inside now. It is also a great deal younger than the two sativas. I will probably transplant it into a 3gal container at some point, but it has only been in the 1 gal bag for a couple of weeks now, so I figure it can still grow a bit before I transplant. For sure you are right about the lack of sunlight being a limiting factor for the plants in the ground. I live in a heavily forested area. Mostly pines, birch, spruce, and the like. The trees get pretty tall and there is no place outdoors really to grow. Not that it matters that much, since I am pretty much an indoor guy. I only put the plants outside because frankly I didn't have space for them inside. The other limiting factor for outdoor growing is growing season. We often get multiple nights of frost in June, and by the first week in September a hard frost is a definite possibility. Also, given how far north I am (above the 46th parallel) I get oodles of sunlight all summer long, but don't really get to 12/12 type lighting until well into September. So, this is kinda like an experiment for me. I think what I might try next year is to germ some seeds in early May, and put them out in June (in pots) so I can bring them in if there is a frost warning. Then I will do some LST on the plants so I can finish them inside at the end of the season. At least that's the plan right now. Thanks for the comments! Peace.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi everyone, While this really isn't a journal, I thought I would post a few pics to show how the plants are doing. Everyone continues to love the sunshine. We are now into our third week of warm sunny days. The plants have been drinking water like crazy (every 2-3 days or so) and filling in well. I will probably let them stay outside for another week before I bring them inside to finish, or I may leave them outside and only bring them in at night so they don't freeze. I like the idea of having them in 3gal pots outside. They may not grow as big, but they sure give me lots of options. P.S. The God Bud girl is also doing well. She doesn't know it yet, but she has less than a week to go as a virgin before I coat her with some boy jizz (i.e. pollen). Peace.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey all, While this really isn't a journal I thought I would post so more pics (their fun). These were taken last weekend. I will have some more by Monday. I am really quite happy with how they have been filling out. Sunlight is da bomb! Anyway, I will soon be migrating them indoors for the night time. We had our first dip down to 0C this week. Not sure if I will be able to finish them outside (they clearly need more time), but if required I will finish them under my 400HPS. More updates as they happen, for those following along. Peace. P.S. That first plant (God Bud) is pretty amazing as well. It is going to be a good mother for the seeds I needs. I collected the pollen over the weekend from the male GB. If I have some pollen left over I may even spread a bit on the JH's just to see what sort of seed I get. You can never have too many seeds.
