Im jelous that you guys are able to pull off "winter grows"

Wish i could do that. (outdoors that is)

Here im looking at lovely ice cold costal winds and below zero temps! Not much lovin for Marry Jane in the great outdoors here in the dead of winter.

Congrats on the harvested, and good luck with the upcoming "summer" grow.

Though they all look good aussiegrow.

You will not have to worry about drainage in that dirt, looks pretty sandy. Can see why you were not worried about light, nice and exposed aspect.

I dropped off 3 girls to my friend last night, one ready to plant and other 2 potted up to give her a few weeks to sort herself and find the best spots to suit her paranoia. lol nigel

Yeah she's new.

I'm quite fond of her also, I have another 2 of her siblings just showing there 3rd set of leaves

She also needs a lot more nitrogen than the others

Nigel, you've been talking about a lot of rain in your locale for a while now, any chance the 'shrooms will be growing again this year?

Can Huntington's girl do her own gardening, or will you be tending her grow? That big plant is impressive, she has potential to be a monsta!

eat twice as much as the thin leaves and still hungry aussie grow.

Huntington girl is still able to potter, i just help with heavy and high stuff. Hoping for some big ones lol

Locally the fungi is a bit dull reederx, there is a few nice pink and brown gilled edible varieties, but on the whole are mainly wood fungi and a few tough toadstools.

Land use is both irrigation and dry area farming, which both use super phosphate; the enemy of the native mushroom. Not that i think there was many to start with, the original environment being pretty dry.

We pride ourselves here that we have almost totally converted the land into profit making; we are agricultural capitalism at it's best. Most of our 'bush' is confined to the hills and roadsides, a large amount of that is regrowth from logging and designated recreation area; so not conducive to magic and mushrooms.

It is not a natural place with human influence observable everywhere. As opposed to up North where you could commune with nature, here there is very little natural energy.

The human energy is intense, with 60 odd nationalities chasing the buck, but whereas they see productivity; i see a wasteland devoid of life. Finding a mushroom in that, is for me, a connection to nature and a lot of pleasant memories of a time when i was more connected to it.

MJ serves the same purpose, just a little pocket of time with nature, where i can suspend the ugly reality around me; just be myself. lol nigel.

Dead still now but last couple of nights i thought i was going to loose the roof. Sunset was beautiful this evening with storms South and North, Dust storms east and west.

Temperatures are all over the place with a hot windy day followed by a frost, so first plantings suffered. Here's some hybrid seeds i sorted, and have under way. sativa x sativa x sativa x sativa, lol nigel
