![]() ![]() ![]() | stoney, the following is just my personal noob opinion, certainly not authority on the matter: I agree that N is still needed during flowering, but most important during the transition between vegetation through early flowering and stretch for growth. Then after stretch and during the height of bud production very little N is needed and the plant uses the N thats stored in the large fan leaves. I think flowering nutes purposefully restrict the amount of N so that the plant focuses less on growth and more on bud production. My is to be careful on adding N in late production because excess N will cause smaller buds and bad taste. ...don't you see lots of late flowering bud/plant shots with lighter yellowing leaves?

Its used up everything in that pot, so now you need to feed it. If you want, Id suggest diiging a big hole, filling with good organic soil and transplanting. Some will argue its stressfull to the plant right now, but that small pot is as well. I'd let the soil dry up real good and the rootball should slide right out. Water once transplanted. ![]()

![]() | You plant looks underfed. N overdose is obvious, the leaves turn dark dark green and tips curl in so that's not it. I have a girl flowering right now that looks like it almost died from N overdose... interestingly it is also my fastest grower so I'm going to try keeping my plants almost a little over-ferted in the future at least during fast growth stages, just not as much as I did with this one as it was too close to serious damage. In fact I fear it may get worse but I think I can ride it out with just pHd tap water. Id hate to flush it and slow the growing down, because otherwise this plant is doing really well. Regardless of growth stage, if your plant is dying and leaves are yellow all over, it needs more N, lower pH, or both. Generally speaking Quote:
Also you mentioned a pH of 7. This is too high. Add some vinegar to your water (teaspoon per gallon or so). You want your soil/water/fert mix at 6.5 for soil. It may not sound like a big difference but pH is base 10 log scale meaning a one point difference in ph reflects a factor of ten change in acidity... in case you didn't already know this. I'm not going to speak on transplanting as I have no experience transplanting large plants. Last edited by t-1000; 09-15-2009 at 01:17 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() | That plant has depleted the soil of its' nutrients. You have to be careful with manufacturers' "directions" as most times they don't pertain to MJ. Besides that, most often marijuana is a "strain specific" type of plant meaning not all plants have the same needs. You never said what type of nutrients you were giving your plants, or what was in the soil. It looks like you're not only suffering N deficiency, but I can see a P deficiency as well with the "purpling up" of the whole plant. I'd have to know what was in the soil before i could give any opinions.
