Ok. I have had several people tell me no way that you can't grow outdoors in Fall but it seems like I have heard a few people to tell me that you can since we have such mild fall/winter here. I"m in the very South East Louisiana. I want to plant an autoflowering plant that takes about 60 days. right now, they are about 3 inches tall indoors and I am wondering when to put them outdoors. maybe in pots? I don't have lights but want to know if this will work outdoors now. any tips?? bj | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It could be done but I doubt it would be very productive with the date it is now, size of your sprouts you mentioned. Maybe some popsicle buds in a few months if you leave them in containers and fuss over them in Dec when they likely will finish. At this point you will have frost considerations or heavy rain dillemas if planted in the ground. So keeping them in containers is a good idea, because you may need to protect them in the months ahead. If their only 3 inchs, put them under a shop light, you dont need HID lighting or any special eqipt when they are that small. Just grow them out some more indoors if possible with a small fan pointed on them. You will get more yield if they are bigger before you put them out. If it gets to cold or wet in December you will need to take resposibility for schlupping the plants into and out of a warm environment in the evenings if the weather is not going to cooperate in mid to late Dec when your plants are finishing based on the timeline you are presenting.
