![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | nevertheless that plant is lookin quite healthy man. are you just trying to lengthen the dark period on the boxed ones? outdoors might that have adverse effects? once there that far in bloom already the more light the marrier i thought..as long as its direct sun (wich it looks to be in the pics)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | at a certain point yes.. it will revege but i think his thoughts were more towards more light within the 12-14 hours period. If they are less than 14ish they will most likely start to bloom and any shorter light periods will just hinder the onset of budding. (or so i figured also) But.... then again.. mother nature works mysteriously and some plants will respond to the extra loss of light by trying to shoot to a finish before the season ends. Which is how mine are reacting at the moment. Colder nights and the ever declining days seems to be speeding them up. Could go either way.. ![]()

Thanks everyone for the reponses! My thinking behind this is to trick the plant in to thinking it's late fall. The plant is a long flowering sativa.I had a male of the same age(un boxed) and it didn't show balls until a couple days ago.So as you can see the buds are everywhere! Way further than just showing pistols for sure. My plan is to turn this plant into oil so I don't need huge buds just lots of resin.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | exactly what you said treadwell. Ive seen people keep plants in total dark and claim that it works but only done in the final 48-72 hours to force" em to put out more resin. thoretically tricks em into thinking times wasteing and in a last ditch effort to reproduce they speed up. I guess ya its one of those things that cant really be proven and might also be variety dependent. not sure how it will work that early either but Im kinda curious to see what happens. nice set up there. I cought your other thread with long tall sally i wish i had a green house set up, especially this season

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Shrubz I always give my plants 48 hours of complete darkness right at the end of their flowering cycle, but thats for my indoor plants too. Im inclined to think (like you) that early into flower, anything beyond the needed amount of darkness to trigger bloom is just wasted time. Photosynthesis only takes place with the absorbsion of light. So.. its my personal belief that once my plants are in bloom i want to give them the max amount of light without getting back into revegging. ![]() I think with my outdoor plants (which by the way are also some of those VERY slow sativas) the 20-25 deg temperature changes at night are signaling a speed up more so than the diminishing light. ![]() Not really any way for me to change the conditions outside to say for sure what it is.
