I was wondering if you smoke Marijuana leaves if it gets you high because one of my friends told me that you are supposta smoke the buds. I have looked all over the internet seeing which is the one that gets you high.

I can tell you personaly, yes... Marijuana leaves do you get you high. The high isn't as great though. It's a really mellow high. For a person that smokes every day, like myself... don't enjoy the little "buzz." We like to get HIGH. By the way, if you have leaves, I say make brownies with them. Anyways... The bud from the female plant actually prodcues way more THC, so everyone is after the buds.

In my experiences with smoking leaves, I would have to smoke one fat-assed joint or like 4 bowls to get high off leaves..i was desperate and didn't want to waste. There are better ways to get high off leaves and stems like making budder or hash oil, both are simple to do, just do a search on those on this board and you'll find lots of good stuff. And like Jeff said, everyone's after buds cause that's where all the THC's at...

If you have patience and don't smoke the leaves, you probably will get a way bigger yield of bud. The leaves are essential for photosynthesis, the more photosynthesis, the more buds.

mjarsk is right, I'm not sure about the whole photo... stuff, I slept through that part (and the rest of) science class. But you do want to leave the leaves alone, and if you have to trim it, then you can get a little "pre smoke".

Smoking leaves will get you a little high, more so if you have a good plant. I like to use the leaves as filler when rolling joints to help spread out the life of my bud. I get just as high, and I don't need to use as much of the good stuff. Some people suggest throwing them out....those are the same people who light their joints with $100 bills.

Well, since leaves get you high, do they have to be female leaves?

Not that I plan on making leaf smoking a habit, because leaves are harsh, and they HAVE to be smoked in a bong IMO. Yuck, only if I'm out of weed.

Now using leaves as a filler in a Joint/Blunt.........................hmm sounds like a plan.

(I'm growing, so I guess I can use some of the leaves when they flower, most likely the leaves near the bud)

No they don't have to be female leaves, you can still get a little high off males (more like a buzz if anything). I wouldn't suggest doing it though.

Honestly, if they're leaves I don't smoke them. They're too harsh and don't taste that good. Sometimes I make hash out of them, but I'd rather preserve my lungs for the more invigorating female flowers.
