I was searching out a new grow spot for the upcomming spring today. I found a great place with lots of space, seclusion, PLENTY of direct sunlight, and near a swamp so i wont have to haul a watering can around. Just when as i was dreaming of the kick a$$ bud i would be growing there, i looked up and saw 4 deer staring at me. those f*ckers! I am in a way happy that i know ahead of time rather then when i find my babies half eaten, but i dont know what to do. I need to keep them away, but i dont want anything that is unnatural (i want it to look like they grew by themselves if anyone crosses them) Any suggestions? Thanx

![]() | I figured that didn't answer your question, well I don't know how to get rid of them but I figure if you put a wire around it that might help. You might be able to get something at the Sports Authority, in the hunting section. Some kind of spray that gives of certain scent , it might keep them away. Usually when deer smells presence of human they stay away, they're really shy animals. Hope this helps ![]()

those bastards didnt seem too shy. in fact, they were looking at me like if a took a step closer they were going to f*ck me up, LoL. Anyways I plant in late April - early May. I have found that this time works out better (dont ask me why). No one knows of any little tricks to keep the deer away? thers gotta be something i can put down to scare em, like dead fish or something..LoL.. that would probably attract them, but you get my point.

I know a guy that pisses on his shirt & leaves it in the woods when he's lost a dog. 1-2 days later when he goes back to check for him, he's alway sittin on the shirt, and no other animals around. lol ![]()

![]() ![]() | Get some heavy test fishing line, like 20lb line. String it up using trees around around the grow, right at deer chest height. If they encounter an impediment and cant see it, they will trun and go the other way. Or so Ive heard. This is from an indoor gardener, so take it FWIW ![]() Might wanna ask in the Outdoor growing forum for more specific answers Smokin

![]() ![]() | i heard from an old herb gardener that ground black pepper works but you have to put it out every seven days or after a good rain. i think i like the soap idea better, less work!
