cloning outside

I have a question about cloning. Is it posible to clone a plant in early august or late july and put the clone in some rooting compound and just stick it in some premade soil. Would this get good results keep in mind that the clone would go straight into flowering. All comments are apreciated.

You can clone outside, but not just by sticking a piece of plant in the ground.
For one, a plant in a good flowering position would need sun, and clones need shade. Flowering plants need good air flow, and a clone needs stillness and humidity. Plants need soil rich with nutrients, and clones need air and water in a medium that is condusive to root development.
Look at it this way...... a freshly cut clone is delicate. It has no roots to gather moisture, nutrients, or to support itself. It's up to you to keep conditions favorable until the roots are strong. And growing those roots takes every bit of strength that little cutting has.... every stress, every loss of moisture, every bump and knock makes it that much more difficult to grow those roots.
To clone successfully outside, place your clones in a humid, shady , protected area and keep a very close eye on them. Remember that wind will dry them up, sun will burn them up, rain will beat them up, and critters will walk on them.
I live in a climate where starting clones outdoors would be very easy, yet I still do it indoors. Why? Because it is easier to control the conditions.

outdoor cloning,....easy.

just look into air-layering. it enables you to make clones while the selected branch is still attached. the only difficulty is when you cut the clone off the mother plant, it might go into shock because the roots are still small. this is when you could just plant it in a pot and keep it slightly shaded.

well butterbean if your asking what i think your asking, here goes. if the mother had alot of side branching so will the clones. if there wasn't much side branching with the mother then there won't be with the clones either.
