I had abotu 4 seedlings that were looking pretty good, they were getting a moderate amount of light, suffiencently but not overly watered, healthy looking and green ... I come out the next day and the stems had just collapesed, they were only 3 to 4 inches tall .... I have no idea what happened ... I'm 99% sure it didnt frost, any idea?

Have you checked for insects? What kind of soil are you using? There are many factors. If I were you I would look through the soil right now and try and find any abnormalities (ie bugs, other roots, pH, etc.) Tough luck, but hey, try and learn from the experience.
