i don't transplant outdoors either. i meant instead of just planting seeds in the ground, to germinate them first using the paper towel, and then taking the seeds with the tails outside to plant.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna try what Jaybo said he did: Germinate with a towl and take the seedling with the tail to plant (my seeds don't cost much for a first timer). Thanks.

personally,
i prefere to just plant a seed in its medium to gem. rather than using the paper towel method. a seed is designed to germ. in the soil, the paper towel method although effective just seems un-natural and basically more work. why risk damage to your roots, or ligt exposure just to watch your seed pop. a viable seed will germ in either method, im just trying to keep things simple.
in a pot , in case i forgot
now,
as for having seedlings indoors or outdoors, **** either way works. you can get a jump on the season, or early summer you can plant outdoors.or both... like S2 said it all depends on how tall you want them. hes got it worked out to where his plants are as tall as he wants them when the time comes. thats just good timing, or planing?

forget the paper towel method

Not a fan of the paper towel method as you risk
damage to the seeds by touching them.

You will get better germination ratios if you plant in
six packs and use a heating pad to keep the seeds around 90
degrees Farenheit.

hempinvader.
so your telling me that a seed that has germinated using the paper towel method, wouldnt have germinated in a soil medium? if a seeds viable its viable. it souldnt matter where it is as long as the basic conditions are right to start growth. using paper towels in a dark place is just a substitute for the seeds natural enviorment, in the soil...but really its all up to personal choice, i do what works best fo me...
