Ok, so this is my first real attempt at growing. I acquired 12 seeds that had been bred specifically for outdoor growing in the santa cruz bay area. All 12 germinated within 48 hours. My grow partner suggested planting the seeds in a cardboard biodegradeable egg carton until they are big enough to be transplanted and survive. I have the carton cut up and each section filled with organic potting soil, with slits cut into the sides near the bottom of each slot to allow drainage. The water seems to sit on the top of the soil for a while before soaking in. How often should i water them, is the egg carton going to work well enough or should i consider another method, about how long should it be until they are ready to transplant, is there anything else i need to think about at this point? | ||

![]() | I wouldnt suggest not using an egg carton because it is too small and the roots will have already out grown the area by day 2. My opinion would be to use clear 14 oz cups (plastic). By the 2nd week, you should be able to transfer your babies outside. Good luck
