Mothballs will keep cats at bay provided they arent dead set at getting to those plants. Though I dont know if you want something that stinky around your plants. Depends on where theyre at. I wouldnt do it in the woods. But in a house garden it may help mask the weed smell from people too. I just got that idea, dont know if itll work.

I'd make yummy kittykabobs

hehehe....just kidd'n. I'd have to agree with purplebud500 and go with a cheap chicken wire fence. Though if the cat wants at it bad enough.....they can get into anything.

Cat repellent

Relpellents don't work very well on cats and dogs (I am a veterinary tech) If you try them you will probably just end up with a cat making a funny face while chewing your plants. You could try the catnip idea but some cats could care less about catnip. It is probably a better idea to get something that tastes bitter and spray it on the plants. You can also spray him with the hose, bang on something or basically scare the sh!t out of em. If you are desperate you can buy animal traps fairly cheap when the cat gets trapped drop him back at his doorstep or if he is a stray at the animal shelter. If the cat is not that persistant just put up the chicken wire fence (a persitant cat would have no prob climbing this).
