![]() | hi all, the harvest (outdoor) is over & now i'm left with a bunch of pots filled with used soil (mix of miracle gro soil which has been enhanced with organic materia). i've completely removed the root ball from each pot & i'm wondering what to do with the pots & soil. i'm a recycling freak & would love to re-use the soil, but what should be done until next spring with the pots & soil? i'm thinking i should empty the soil into a large bag, but it's wet & i don't want any mold, etc. should i let the pots dry out all winter in my garage & simply transplant seedlings into the pots next spring? does the soil loose any of its "potency" or nutrients? please advise & thanx in advance roo

![]() | Im pretty sure the soil would have lost most of its nutrients after its been used for a grow, if you have waterd the soil with nutrients they could still be in there, the best thing to do if you really want to use it again would be to mix what soil youve used with the unused stuff and mix it well. Personally id just use un-used soil, it aint worth risking a nutrient deficiency in your plants, so cheap too. Soil doesnt go moldy according to my knowledge peAce ![]()

![]() your kerrraaazeh!!! you can reuse it if you want to; but befo' you do id flush it out thoroughly with water to get any built up salts out.. then cook it... yep cook it... put it in the oven for a while to dry it out and to kill off any bacteria... that way you have a sterile medium to work with, preventing any cross contamination from your last grow to your new grow...correct me if i be wrong ![]() - Knabiz - ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Compost it. ![]() If you finish your winter crop and start composting all used soil as soon as possible you'll have some 100% fresh, home-made compost for the next indoor winter crop Just watch out for pests ![]() Peace.

Hey man, This year 4 tha 1st time, I reused some soil from last yrs outdoor grow. I removed most of tha roots and transplanted a seedling in 2 tha soils (in pot). After 2 weeks in tha pot, the plants showed sign of nutrient burn. I have now flushed tha plant and its is beginning 2 recover. Like 1 of tha previous poster wrote, it is VERY imporatnt 2 flush ur old soil. I have done it till there is no salt residue left on tha holes at tha bottom. **** tha poilice and smoke weed everyday, Reggie Kray
