High all,

I by chance have been able to get a nice little plant to grow. I transplanted outdoors and it is thriving. My question is What's next? How long before I should expect to look for buds or when do/should I harvest? Can you tell I am a rookie? Any information would be great.

like the prev 2 guys said more information is needed but

I would expect to c buds after 4 months of growing. remember if u want quality weed make sure u cut donw the males. to tell the difference is really easy. the males have balls and females have unmistacable white fluffy stings. they sort of look like the roots. and hey good luck.

first thing you need to figure out is your locations natural lighting schedule. If you are in the US chances are that the 12/12 has already begun.
next is you need to know the maturity of the plant. If it has alternating nodes then it should begin showing you sex in 2 weeks. If it doesnt have alternating nodes it could take as long as 3 weeks before sex is shown.
Strain is also real important. If its bagseed then it stands a good chance to go 9+ weeks flower. If its a known strain, then check its flowering times.
If infact you've been blessed with a female buds should start forming 1-2 weeks after sex is shown. from there you just wait.
Seeing as though its pretty late in the season, you may want to judge your harvest more by when the big frost hits then when the plant is actually ready.

also, the search engine at the top of this page is your best friend on this site. use it wisely because its the quickest way to get an answer.

thank you to all for the replys. i feel like a retard for asking these basic questions but my expertise comes from quality control. (i test the finished product ) my "expirement" is about 2 ft tall and was planted in the ground about a month or 2 ago. dont know the strain. it came from a bag of fluffy buds and this was a lone seed i found in one of the buds. the weed was so good i said what the hell and planted it. to my surprise it has florished and stinks up a storm. i had to relocate futher in the country due to smell. it took to its new home very well. i havent seen it in about 2 weeks so no telling now. i was just wondering what should i expect next or what should i be doing, if anything, but waiting.

thanks again
