Well I have tried my hand at indoor with mixed results. Tried in a small cab and, well..... its alot of hassle especially when you finally get your 2 plant grow to last into maturity and they're males .... for 2 grows in a row So this year I want to plant some outdoors. First if I can find a affordable enough GPS I want to head out to the nearest national forrest and just plant a seed or two in random, off the trail, parts of the forrest and record the location with the GPS and just go check each of the spot in the fall. I figure if I pick small openings in the forrest canopy and do this with at least 10 different spots I should come up with at least 1 female survivor in the fall. But I was thinking I am moving soon (buying a house to get away from renting) but the house will almost defnately be intown. But I was thinking if the new place has a privacy fence then I could probably grow 1 plant in the back yard in a small garden ... blending it in with a few tomato plants and some other random smelly herbs/plant to cover the smell. Has anyone else tried this with any success? Any pics of the Garden?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You would be better off getting a house with a basement, then convert the basement to a huge grow room ![]() As for growing outdoors in town I advise against it, too risky that a neighbor kid will find your grow and either rip you off, run his mouth, or both.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good thoughts Bob - I was thinking of doing the same thing. Kids nosing around in my yard is a concern. I am considering a big fence around my new back yard to keep out nosy neighbors, animals, and pests.

![]() | I am not very worried about people coming in the yard.... with my pitbull Plus I would only try this if the house has a privacy fenced back yard. I would love it if the house had a basement ... but main priority is a shop , and I doubt I'll get lucky enough to find both. I am just thinkin that most people really wouldn't hawk eye a single plant amogst other plants such as tomato plants .... unless they were a grower too. I know before I got really into growing I wouldn't have spotted a plant unless I basically sat down next to it.... they just don't stand out much to me ...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's also pretty audacious to grow out in the open like this, where even if someone suspected they would think... "nah, couldn't be."

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I grow in my backyard but it is nerve-racking. I use and take advantage of a lot of concelement methods. There are some plans listed at the end of my outdoor gr and a link to greenhouse 101. I set up some raised beds and grew vegies and pot. If you grow tall cover plants you can transplant your babes on their sides and train them along the ground. Then you can top if they get too tall. You will need to account for the pot flowering after the rest of the vegis are dead. (At least in my neck of the woods). If you do deside to do it make sure you are a long way from schools/daycares. In my state the time/fines are worse.

![]() | Thats a good point. I didn't think about the weed out living the veggies... Is there any way I could get the life spans to work out? Any longer living veggies to grow? ?? ? I guess I could start the MJ plants inside ahead of the tomatoes ..... hmmm ..... or I guess I could start some corn about halfway through the life of the tomato plants .... ![]()

![]() | Last year I planted a couple of plants in my flower bed...My yard is surrounding by a privacy fence and trees which provide a little more privacy. I surrounded my mj plants with elephant ears, sunflowers, holly hocks and a few other flowers. The mj plants grew to be between 6 and 7 feet tall. I had to tie them down, so that the could not be seen from the street. I must say that the last month of so I was a nervous wreck, the plants began to smell as in reek and it seems like helicoptors were flying over head daily. I chopped them about the beginning of October, they probably could have went a little longer but my paranoia get the best of me. I say it can be done, but the rules remain the same. Don't let anyone know about your grow and make sure that no one, especially the noisy meter readers need to have access to your yard. You will also want to make sure that the part of the yard to you grow in is not visible to the neighbors, i.e. like from there upstairs bedroom. Also most vegetables, especialy tomatoes will continue to grow or at least stay green until after the first frost.
