Does anyone know of a good brand name product or home-made solution that will keep insects (especially ants) off of your plants, Without damaging them? I have heard of a chalk that will lay down a barrier that ants won't cross, but this won't work farming outdoors (guerilla style in my case). Thanks!

Dr. Try using soapy water and spray it on and around your plants once a day till the problem resolves.
If that doesn't work you might want to try an insecticide called Diazinon.

happy growen

Will these give a soapy or messed up taste to your weed when you smoke it?

If you spray them before you smoke it yea!
I thought this was just a temporary problem. I would give a week without the spray before pickin and smokin.

If the ants keep coming back I sujest you transplant somewhere else!

I wouldn't recommend using Diazinon on your plants, it's not good for you. The most I ever do, is to sprinkle insecticide time release granuals around my plants, on the ground. Use natural sprays, like tobacco tea, and such, that way it won't harm you.

why not go out and buy a product called ant-be-gone it really works you put drops around your plants do not put it on the plants or try some ant baits there are lots of inexpensive products out there for ants.
