hey just had a quick question... I put one of my mothers outdoors about 3 weeks ago, and she is already getting quite massive... when i put her outdoors she was only about a foot and a half tall, but just as wide... now, i went back and she is easily 2 1/2 feet tall and over 3 feet is diameter...there is so much new growth its unbelievable... how big will this baby get>??.. it gets about 8 hours of sunshine a day, optimal water supply, using DNF nutrients.. The plant has been topped many tiimes ..since i used it to take cuttings from... will i end up with something out of control, or is there a way i can keep it from getting really tall.... it can get as bushy as it wants, space isnt an issue, i just dont want something 10 feet tall... although 10 feet wide would be great ![]() hope this makes sense and my question can be answered.... i have just never had a plant this big at this stage in the season...its really amazing thanks a bunch... cheese ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've seen a picture here somewhere of someone who did some aggressive LST on an outdoor plant and ended up with a nice short shrub. I'll take a stab at finding that picture and linking it here... That's one option. ... couldn't find the picture. Dig around here a bit, and start thinking seriously about tying her down. Sounds like your off to a great start. I used rope to tie the main stems and pieces of wire coat hanger bent like U 's for the branching. Just keep pinning it down as it grows taller. It worked out great for me the last time, so I'm doing it again The plants I lst'ed got alot bushier. They actually did look alot like shrubz from a bit of a distance hehe. I would'nt top it anymore, it can stress the plant. And cause it to use up growing energy to heal itself.Last edited by shrubz; 06-12-2005 at 07:11 AM.. | ||
