I began a journal for these a while back but didnt really update due to security issues. I gave that up and decided on a largely solo first grow. I'm quite pleased with the results, out of nine original plants, 3 have survived storm and slug to sit here today. (Pic 2: small plant left, planted as seed in midjune, early girl strain, she witnessed the entire devouring of three of her fellow sisters by slugs, got bit a few times herself and never really recovered - the middle plant was a bagseed grow with a seed donated by a freind in the south, planted late may - the right plant was a purple haze seed donated, bought in amsterdam, started in early june) The other day i was peeking through the thick growth at the top of the bagseed and purple and discovered several tiny white hairs sprouting among smaller bud like growth, (which i am hoping means female for both of them and not some nature trickery) and as this grow comes to a close i have a few questions concerning their care for the next two months or so. First of all, is there anyone familiar with the seattle, washington's season, or one of an area of equal latitudinal position? I was wondering if i even posses a chance in seeing these ladies through their full flowering period. From what ive read im expecting these to finish sometime in late october...If thats accurate, will i lose these to the night's chill? Its only August at the moment and already its reaching down into the 50's come nightfall. Unfortunately im not in a position to move these from their current position to one of greater warmth as that would require a sizeable trek holding three foot cannabis plants past several houses.......... Are there any measures i can take to keeping these warmer at night? short of building a greenhouse. If these dont have a hope then i suppose that the next questions arent very relevant and i should direct my focus more towards the hash making forums... BUT...If i do have a chance... Would surrounding these plants with a staked sheet of mylar on one side help to direct any extra light to the plants, or ensure it has maximum exposure? And would this be of a significant help during flowering for quicker or larger growth? Occasionally i will visit these plants and glimpse blue, whitish, and green oblong shaped bugs sitting atop the plants, when they are shook off they hop off and seem to float to their next resting spot. Can these pose any threat to the bud growth? So far they have not touched the leaves and i can see no threat. I am also a bit worried about spider mites infesting my buds as this seems to be a pretty common problem and i dont want to have to begin dealing with it while my herb's curing. Would a spread of neem oil during flowering hurt anything? Or can i use some other organic method of pest removal. This growth has been primarily organicly fead, with a 5-2-2 fish emulsion every couple of waterings. I started off with some 15-6-3 fertilizer that i was feeding some tomatoes, but i only gave them a small spoonfull each total so i was wondering if i even need to bother with flushing out any salts that could be up in my crop at the moment? Id like to thank anyone in advance for offering up some of their experience. Reading this board throughout this grow has had noticeable effects on these plants im sure. Thanks everyone ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey bud seattle is ~47°, a little bit higher than me at ~42.5. Your days should already be just a little bit longer 13h 44m v. 13h 27m for me. If you're just flowering now I'd say you'd be looking at october easily. If your average temp is in the mid 50s through the month you should be fine. The only thing you need to be worried about is frosts. (and bugs) I'm not sure what the purple bugs are but you shouldn't get a spider mite infestation outdoors in seattle in the fall. Spider mites like warm dry conditions, like inside your house. Good luck ![]()
