what happens to a plant if during flowering it becomes root bound? will the smoke be bad? or will it just stop growing? i dont care so much about the yeild but about the quality. also i was wondering if u started flowering at about 9 inches? will the smoke be ok just less buds? or less buds and bad smoke?

They'll stop growing, get root rot and die probably. The smoke will be ok if you cut it before all kinds bad things happen as it dies. Size doesn't matter as long as it's sexually mature, having leaves alternating rather than across from each other(floral phyllotaxy).
