| High all! I just came back from a newly planted crop(4 -6 inch plants, just a week outside) to find them ripped to shreds. They were still in the ground but all the fan leaves looked as if they they had been mauled. I live by the ocean and we get rained on hard and often, including a couple of times this week. The plants are sheltered (by other vegetation) from the wind, is it possible for the rain alone to do this? Or could this be a pest problem of some kind? Any suggestions on how to protect these plants from the rain without hurting their light exposure or requiring regular maintenance? Pop bottles maybe...? (I want so much...thanks all!) | ||

| It could have been hail? We had a hail storm Wed. and it tore some of my plants up. Thank God I was smart enough to put them buy a tree that provided cover. They are alright. Some of the leaves were torn up but not bad. If you get hard rain it probably tor the leaves. wfasig- | ||
