I have three plants growing outdoors. One of my friends is 12-13'inches tall. Do I have to do anything to make it bud, or will it do it by itself? If I have to do something, what do i do? What to do the buds look like and when should i start seeing them? I am very knew to growing so please explain any terminology. Thx

Do you smoke weed?? Is what you smoke dried leaves or chunks of plant matter. If leaf...well, bet ya can't wait to try buds eh? And if it wasn't leaf it was probably bud..
No matter, when the day-night lengths get right your plants should bud all on their own and there should be no doubt as to what buds are, they aren't leaves and they don't look like leaves.

i had a 3' male and the buds looked like pods bunched together in clusters,hanging off a central stem you will know the difference between a leaf and the bud when you see it. the female bud is fuzzy and covered with white hairs. if you want to force it to bud, find a way to give it less light.
