i am trying to do a sea of green setup in a closet but i was curious about temp control on the first cycle of the plant (veg state?) if i have a
24/7 always on light cycle. changing the temp for night and day to
keep the nodes short and close to the base is there any point to
having a change in temp if there is no dark time. i know keeping it real dry during this stage is a good way to keep the nodes short so i am def not over watering.
also i wanted to know how many nodes or height is an acceptable or proper point
to start the 12/12 cycle if all im lookin for is a about a 1/4oz dried cola.
sorry for the wierd format my comp is kinda funked
thanks for any input

well crazy....

Theres no need to change the temps.....And to the contrary, you dont want your growroom dry during veg, you want at least 40-60% RH during veg.......dry growrooms are for flowering to bring out the trichs......And as for the height before switching to 12/12, I like to flip the switch when they're 12-15 inches tall, or when they have altenating nodes........And if your looking to keep them short, might I suggest a bunch of compact flouros, they keep the internodal length reallll tight.....

by the way what are the specs of your growroom(size, lights, ventelation, exc.)??

Anywayz Good Luck!

i meant that i am keeping the soil dry but i still got the humidifier going, its actually a cold air mist humidifier so it cools also. about a 6X6 closet with a 600 watt mh/hps interchangeable so i am using the metal hallide for this stage, got some ventilation pushin in from a fan and tubing from outside of the room (intake) and it has the furnace or air conditioner (something that
sucks the air in from the room) there so it has a natural exhaust. so would u recommend not using the humidfier so much when i switch or not at all, the humidity in the room alone is about 20 %. btw there is a good amount of space in the cracks of the door to the closet so i know air is movin thru there.

Will those cracks create light leaks during flowering?

Yea i think it will be leaking but ventilation of fresh air is kinda an issue so i need the extra flow. i think the temp would get way too high if i dont leave it open it would get too hot. what would be more worth it? more direct light and more fans in the room just circulating the a bit less fresh air or more fresh air and keeping the plants as close to the light as possible to the light and having a bit more fresh air coming in? *Blocking the cracks in the door would not stop all fresh air ventilation. i have 1.5 diam tubing with a fan bringing in fresh air.
Was also thinking about putting aluminum foil around the plants to get more light on sides of plant to bush out more. i think i can handle an increase in heat from that cause right now i can keep it around 75 F if i move it away from the lamp.

Crazy......

The thing is, you need to have those light leaks corrected by flowering or you risk the chance of males/hermies......

And as for what would be better for your growroom, get it sealed up, and throw some more ventilation in there (ventilation is key), because with more ventilation you can keep it cooler which in turn you can get the plants closer to the lights........that way you won't have to keep your door open to get the plants closer...

You follow?

I may have said that a bit confusing but you should get the jist of it...

Good Luck!
