![]() | ok i got the gist of this pruning thing it just snapped in my head especially the stairway tech you trim of the leaf branches to get more light on the budding sites that form in the crook between the main stem and the leaf stalks this encourages growth and makes the bud sites larger and helps yeild size at least this is about how i see it am i right or am i missing somethin now this got me thinkin could you trim all the lower branches and have just bud sites on the lower 1/2 or 1/3 of the plant and use horizontal lighting all around these sites and have lighting above your plant too would you get a bigger yeild like this? having a tight canopy on top and then bud sites on the lower stalk? | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The first way you are describing sounds like a technique that is called Radial Pruning .... like a spiral And I don't think there is a name for the second way you are describing but growers with limited space or height will try and get the plant to yeild 4 main colas and no side growth or a strain that tends to stretch.. Another effective method is crimping or bending tying down the limbs to induce the side budz to grow ![]() LB
