Lightbulb Keep mom as a house plant?
permalink

Could I simply take a post-harvest female and put it the the corner of a regular room?

The idea is that 2 or 3 months down the road I can cut clones from her.

Would she survive as a house plant?

As long as the light is bright enough, yes. In low light conditions, Cannabis stretches and becomes weak and spindly. Give it as much direct light as possible. It may languish in a corner.

i kept 4 different moms in front of my african cichlid tank underneath 100 watts of flouro tubes. stayed their about 3 months, while getting trimmed every now and then. just be shure that if you open your windows at night, to watch for fungas gnats. they wont kill your plant, but reproduce quick and are very annoying.

reach420---Might want to do some searches on people that have re-vegged their plants. You have to leave enough on the plant after harvest to be able to re-veg the plant post-harvest.

Happy Growing

You'd best off give it at least one CFL... I mean... you could spare just one right?

The more vigorous the mother is the more vigorous the clones are.

Giving it a CFL is a great idea!

As a part-time grower, it just seems like it would be nice to have a mom around for when I want to grow a closet full of girls. I could just crop and trim her so she dosn't turn into a giant over time.

Thanks
