OK this one may need a botanist to answer. sativa and salvia refer to different types of plants. For instance, Salvia Farinacea is the name of Blue Sage and Medico Sativa and Nigella Sativa refer to types of Alfalfa grass and Nutmeg flowers respectively. But what do those terms actually mean? Do all sativa type plants have narrow leaves like the cannabis variety or something? it's not terribly important, I was just browsing through a specialty seed catalog and noticed those familiar terms.

![]() | I think sativa is a type of cannabis plant, which grows taller andhas narrower leaves. Salvia, if you ask a gardener is a pretty common plant but ask younger college students, you get salvia divinorium, [Mod note: Per the Posting Guidelnes Discussion of the production of by-products from the above mentioned plants and/or methods of use of those by-products is prohibited] and is also legal... for now. ![]() ![]() | [b]Salvia[b] is a type of sage plant, that when digested can cause effects similar to LSD or Shrooms. It doesn't last as long though, if smoked can last 15-30 mins and if ingested can have effects as long as 1 hour and 30 mins.
