It's going to be difficult for it to drink if it doesn't have any roots yet, right???????

Start reading. Reading is fun.

Mostly death.

Start reading. Reading is your friend.

Be one with your plants. Watch them. Listen to them.
They will tell you what you need to know, if you let them.

The two questions asked are esentially the same, so I merged the posts.

Underwater & the plant will wilt & die. Overwater & the leaves curl downward & continued, the plant will drown.

Green Moon is beginning to sprout.
I Just Want An Idea Of How Much!!!!

I JUST WANT AN IDEA OF HOW MUCH WATER IS TOO MUCH AND HOW MUCH IS NOT ENOUGH. IS THIS TOO DIFFICULT OF A QUESTION?!?

The clone has already been rooted and was ready to be potted into a bigger pot.
I KNOW HOW TO READ. (plus Ive read this whole forum to make sure my answer wasnt already there). And that is why Im asking here. It doesnt say in books, magazines or internet sites that Ive read. Nobody seems to know a REAL measurement. THEY JUST SAY:

Dont over water, dont under water.

This is useless.
What is the point of this forum, if you cant ask questions and get some answers.
At least tell me WHAT to read.
Ive already killed some plants and Im trying not to kill these ones.
Still NOBODY CAN HELP ME!

There is no "set amount" to water - it depends on too many variables such as heat, humidity, size of the pot, strain, and so on.

BTW - I did not like the large font you used - that to me is the equivalent of yelling.

sure was easy on the eyes to read though wasnt it

shes right theres no way to tell how much water to give your plant.

Wait till the soil is dry before you water. Your plant will tell you if it needs water long before it nears the point of death. Try lifting the pot when its completely dry and the plant is wilting,,, get a feel for how heavy it is... Now lift it again after you water it... Remember those weights and lift your pot every time you feel like watering... Same weight as it was when the plant was wilting? No? Then wait to water it. The goal is to catch it and water just before the plant begins to wilt.

No yelling in GC.com....

here's how to water your plant:

Pour enough water into the plant to completely saturate the soil, water should drain rapidly out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.
Once you have saturated the plant, let it be. Let it be until the pot is dry or nearly dry and then repeat the saturated watering proceedure.

The way to tell when you plant needs water:
Learn how much the pot weighs when it is dry... when it is light enough, water it.
Buy an inexpensive $15 moisture meter at the home store. Use it, when it says dry, water.
Stick your finger deep into the soil, if it's dry all the way down, water it.

Hope this helps you....

Peace- OD
