So i was wondering the best way to transplant...

When i first sprouted them,i had made a sprouter box out of an old shoe box and sprouted these 4 plants in the pictures.Because they were all in one box,i used a spoon and sort of carved around them gently and then transplanted them like that.Should i do that again, because they didnt suffer any transplant shock the last time,in fact the had new leaves starting 3 hours after that.Anyways, help is appreciated as always

pictures can be found here

dampen the soil, it helps keep it together. then roll the pots in your hands adding light pressure to lightly compact and break it away from the plastic, it tends to stick. then flip the pots upside down while having your hand under the soil, around the base of the plant. it ususally drops right out. theres a chance the soil will crumble on you without having enough root mass to keep it together. I would wait 2 or 3 weeks before attemting it.

Hi
I'm not sure exactlly what you did, it sounds like you put them all in the same 'container'.
If so, don't do that again, use small individual containers, styrofoam cups work good, just poke some holes for drainage.

then do what shrubz said.

good luck and good growing

dsslayer1210 is beginning to sprout.

Just water the plants, and then wait a day or so, for the soil will basically clump together. I'm not sure how big the put is but basically put hour hand over the surface of the soil, put the stem between your thumb and fore finger to hold it steady, flip it upside down and pat the bottom of the pot so it comes out in one pot-shaped clump. Then insert into new pot gently so you don't tear the roots.

Make sure to put some soil into the new pot, since it's most likely going to be bigger than your old pot... or at least it should be :-).

Make sure to pat down the soil so it's not too loose, since when you water again the soil compacts more.
