Does anybody know for sure if you can really affect the flavor of finished buds using additives to the soil while its still growing? If so, how? What additives and when? In what amounts? Do you know why it works?

I'm a bagseed pauper and I'd love to produce a decent tasting bud or two despite my lady's lack of pedigree. Any advice?

flush them with LOTS of pure water during the last two weeks prior to harvest and you will have the tastiest buds around.

additives themselves wont make much difference... Some might even make it taste worse...

I don't use much fert to begin with, but I'm definitely gonna flush them for the last two weeks.

I kinda figured that the anecdotal stuff I'd heard about adding sugar to the water for sweeter tomatoes was bogus (sucrose too big to be absorbed through the roots, pretty sure), but I was just hoping that there was something like that that really did work. I'm just worried that my buds are gonna be very planty tasting with not much else.

Maybe cinnamon water?

Most Buds Taste Grrreat! (with proper care)

Some say you can Flavor your Bud with Concentrated Candy Oils(available most Pharmacys)Allow the soil to dry out & water(1 bottle to a gallon) the last time about 24 hrs before harvest~ chop & cure .

If anything use molasses. I am a big fan of flushing with plain water, and plenty of it, the last two weeks also.

But, you've already heard that three times before

Post-dry additives (flavours) are sold in most hemp stores ... but, to me, they taste like garbage I have trouble with flavoured blunt wraps too ... too many gives me a headache ... and it ruins the taste of my fine ass ganja

I have heard of the molasses before ... but am scared to find I won't like it, and ruin a whole plant.

Maven dont be scared, like Nike, just do it...and I do find Molasses to make a difference in the taste and aroma of my buds.

Please explain how it "makes a difference" to your bud ... smoother smoke? More *bud* taste? Sweeter taste?

Back in the 80's a friend of mine grew a crop in the middle of a banana plantation the bud on every plant smelt and tasted like mango's it deff wastnt the strain cuz i grew some plants from the seeds and it was good bud but didnt have the fruity smell about it.

Deff not a sweeter taste at all...I would say it just strenghtens the naturally present aroma and taste. But I am fairly new to molasses....since we are talking about molasses I feel obligated to post the link to THE Molasses thread.
