Mary Jane How long should it take for budsites to form

When switching to flowering how long before i start seeing the budsites form. Where exactly are they going to show up. This is my first grow and also first one going into flower. Just want to know what im looking for.

Around 2-3 weeks.

Look in the visual inspiration/grow journal forum to get an idea of structure.

Here is a pic, but it shows male flowers, they will still show up in the same areas however.

Hey greengreen,

Welcome to the Garden.

Yes, I agree that 2-3 weeks is the right time frame, depending on the strain. But! It is very very important that your budding space be completly dark when the lights are out. Any light that leaks in will throw the bud formation process completely off. Let those girls (and boys) sleep in total darkness.

Attached are some more photos that may help, but really it is very obvious when it happens. If the plant has balls it is a boy, otherwise it is a girl.
