Its been 10 days since flipping to 12/12 and still no sign of hairs or balls.. 2 of the plants are feminised seeds, but the others arent.. But the funny thing is that none of them have shown sex yet.. No light leaks at all either.. The plants were topped/fimmed 2 - 4 times ( varys by plant ). They are 36 days old today. They are all about 13 inches and have stretched about double there size since flipping to 12/12. I am using a HOT5 light and the light kept the nodes really really tight during veg hence the short plant size.. And was topped/fimmed also to keep them short..Im just wondering is it normal for them to take this long to even show sex? Strains - Bubbelicious( 4 regular ) Blue Venom ( 1 feminised ) Super Lemon Haze ( 1 feminised ) .. Last edited by cancer_patient1; 06-25-2009 at 08:35 PM.. | ||

| You should start seeing signs in two or three days. Particularly because you were using immature plants. When I did that, it took 12 or so days. I bet the preflowers are there, however and just hiding out. My two cents...maybe other, more knowledgeable people know better.

| i have seen it take anywhere from 2 days, to 2 weeks. depends on genetics at least, but much on maturity. ive had a 1.5 month plant take almost 2 weeks to show. | ||

| on my current grow i had a similar issue, like mayan said because of having immature plants, sativa at that. took damn near two full weeks to see the first hairs so i wouldnt start to worry yet.. i think they are just testing you patience, better get used to it

| I saw a boy that showed sex in 3 days and made 3 inch flowers in 21 days of 12/12 while the girl next to him was not even 1/4 inches under the same light... so maybe they are a bit shy  Keep the 12/12 and trust that all will work just fine. Good luck with em | ||

The longer it takes, the more likeliehood of a female. Males seem to be keener to get on with it. Big range across strains, some go off quickly, then finish slow. Others start slow and finish in a big way. Sharpen your 'patience tool' [analog's signature - loved it] ; because the plants control time from here. A few days here and there is nothing in the context of 8 to 15 weeks; plants do not wear watches or read seed packets lol Relax, just sit and breathe over them for a while. Compliment your girls on how good they are going to look in flower. Ask them nicely to hurry up, then go sorry for rushing them. That time is Co2 for the plant, time off for you, and one of the nice bits of growing. Person/plant connection; enjoying the moment. Do not stress, they know what they are doing. You have their home set up ready. jUST a bit longer till the birth of your daughters i am sure. lol best wishes nigel

Boys mature faster and taller...so as to drop pollen from above onto the girls.... Girls tend to flower later when compared to boys of the same strain. Maturity comes when it comes....be patient...just a few more days

| Dang.. I think I have 2 male Bubbelicious. 2 outta 4 so far.. I think.. Not gonna pull em till im 100% sure.. I hope not.. It the nicest 2 plants.. Argh..Wheres someone with that dang pixie dust when you need it? lol | ||
