Those big shaders were pawning the secondaries! those pics are after 3 were removed, trying to even up the growth of all i figured the secondary would pick up the slack of those big shade leaves.and i just watered her today. the tips have always curled. i dunnos whys

its not necessarily the spot that gets the most sun that grows the biggest, its the highest part of the plant that gets largest.

f.e, 1 of my plants, formed a kindof a cup around a 150w hps, about 6 inches away.

the points of the plant furthest away from the light were highest and they got huge.

the flowers directly under the light and closest to it, were 3-4 inches lower and they grew like they were under cfls. despite direct contact with light. more than 16000 lumens *4 t5 too on it*

its like lst, if a flower or node is over an inch, sometimes less than an inch, taller.

that flower/node will get bigger faster.

if you want all the buds to be equal, i dont care if you surround the plant with light, you will have to make a flat plane out of the plant.

see, it makes no sense for a mj plant to waste energy on a lower part, the highest part will have the most chance of being pollinated.

thats why it makes sense to cut off all secondary growth *i dont, i reveg* or to scrog or lst.
and thats why scrog or lst is a constant work, the plant wants to get high.

but really it doesnt make sense to cut off all secondary growth.

why? because every leaf is like a solarpanel and every bit of energy is used towards the bigger buds anyway. those smaller buds are just like hey lets just be safe on thjs, lets make doubly sure.

those secondary growths will not get much bigger anyway nor get much attention and energy from the plant. just give it extra solarenergy.

so i wouldnt cut extra growth unless to aerate the plants if many.

to put it plain, one stem, 3 nodes, standing straight up, the top will always get about 3-4 times bigger than the next *strainvariations of course, but always bigger*

little bit less difference on the 3rd, but smaller, same for lower, always smaller and smaller.

so either more light and get a huge top bud, or flatten that stem out, so now those 3 nodes get equal big buds *if you flattened it out soon enough, to give each node time to catch up with the first one *still the top bud will always be flatter*

I agree with sso just lst it..... tie it down a bit and whenever it tries to grow up more add another string.
I myself have a cfl cab for motherly purposes as well (2) 6500k + (1) 5500k 26w each = 300watts. I get about 5200 lumens in it (2w x 3 1/2h x 13"d cab). What I decided to do to get even growth was scrog. Just build yourself a little frame and make a checkerboard out of string with it. I dont even have my plant tied to the screen im justr making sure it stays below it. The string should offer enough flex to prevent the plant growing into it (that tree down the street with a fence pole in it) also it will make re-moving it from the enclosure much easier (scissors )

Good luck with the grow, I hope all goes well
