Oh, sorry ![]() I don't know, maybe 1/3 or a little more, my last harvest I was going for the "couchlock" appearence and believe I may have went a bunch to long at well over 80 days flower.. This time I wanted to set the cycle at a predetermined time of 8-weeks regardless of maturity, maybe if the appearence of trich color wasn't to the amber stage yet i'd give an extra 2 weeks. I've been at one extreme now I wanna see what an "early" harvest might be like. I'm smokin some small pieces of TW right now as i'm typing this that screen dried overnight on the wing of my R/C plane hanging from the ceiling in the corner of the living room and I must say, i've got a nice buzz off 2 hits, the bowl isn't dusted yet. The remainder three short LST'd plants worth of flowers are hanging in an old "Dell" pc box I strung string and poked holes into using as a dry box set in a dark room with fan on low oscillating in the room. My last harvest sadly dried way too fast (4 days to snapping stem) ruinning the entire havest on top of having it gone to seed (due to light leaks in my flower Cab causing my female clones to hermy) although I did get buzzed off it all it just wasn't that good. This time, judging by smoking this tiny bit of trim that i'm already buzzed and lost my ambition to get to work on the next batch to go into flower needing transplanting and the daily maintance of the grow op, I can't wait for the rest of to dry and cure i'm sure it'll do me very well til the next 8-week cycle is complete. Sorry for my shorter answer above I hope this explains better Have a Great day bro, peace don Last edited by CamperDon; 07-03-2009 at 01:03 PM..

I tried the 8 week first harvest not as good as 10 weeks. I have a strain that has extremely low smell and must be easy to grow, hell, I'm growin it I am on my 4th grow with this and very happy with it. I have no name or title for it, but it will stone the shit out of ya. When trics are about 1/3 amber and the biggest majority cloudy I took em and it turned out GREAT. I tried to remember the day when I turned the light to 12/12 but even with my journal I don't know the exact day.WHAT WERE WE TALKIN ABOUT?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Greetings One of the hardest things I get to try and figure out is when I read people say 1/3 amber or half the plant is amber - I always gander at mine and see the outter most flowering parts showing amber (where I think I want it) but, the rest of the branch is still cloudy.. When your lookin for couchlock as I am, at what point do you decide the plant is done or do you just nip those end flowers off leaving the rest to further mature or do you take the entire plant and call it good..? Thats my prob right now, as BB is ambered over but more on the outter flowers reather then the entire plant. One reason I was going with the pre-dertermined time and give a bit extra (two weeks) if I thought it'd go a bit more.. Best wishes don

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | on my first couple grows, i kept track of everything like i was searching for the cure for cancer. i later realized it didn't matter when i put them into flower. breeder flowering times are meaningless. when my trichomes tell me it's time, i harvest.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well, seedsellers are in it for the business, and 8 weeks is long enough for Some tastes and sounds better. i dont go by breeders advise or even date, i just grow them till they look ready and smell ready. besides ive harvested them at all stages and i know exactly when its just beginning to be smokable and when its to my taste. unless im revegging and then i just do them till seeds are ready or i have begun to be afraid they wont survive if i flower them longer. ive considered using a magnifiers glass, but what does colour tell me? each strain is different, amber on some will suck for some and so on. besides, you can cut off a tip of a bud and the bud will heal and keep on growing, in fact im beginning to believe it actually makes the plant flower harder. by doing this i kept myself in smokes for almost the whole 2 months of flowering and still had plenty by harvest time from only 3 plants.. so i like just testing.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When I flip the lights to 12/12, the NEXT day is 1. In other words, the next day is the first complete day of 12/12. Then I mark the growroom calender at 7, 14, etc... Usually around day 50 I start to check the trichomes, and depending on the strain and success of the grow, some can be harvested and others need a few more days .. or weeks. ![]() ![]() jv
