| I'm REALLY broke lately, my girlfriend's on strike and we have just enough cash to pay for the food. Hehe, im serious so I cant buy a PH tester, so I didnt test it yet... Tried to let the soil dry up a lot this time so I see if that's the prob, waiting for results. Bottom leaves are dead now. I use 10-52-10 transplanting every 10th watering or so, I dont really beleive in ferts, wanna keep my weed as natural as possible. ![]() Smoke on. ![]() (_________()~~~~ [This message has been edited by gecko (edited March 30, 2000).] | ||

| Overwatering is common. When a plant is yellowing or browning you should check the condition of the soil. It's really not a Brainstorm. All you have to do is turn the plant out of the pot and smell the soil. If it smells sour and rotten it is. If you have overwatered you nose will tell you. You can talk pH and nutrients but 90% of the time the yellow/browning is caused by Too Much WATER! | ||

![]() | Howdy Ya'll! I totally agree with HighGuy. In an earlier post, I suggested letting them dry out really well before watering, as I had the same problem, and although my pH was low. The soil was very wet throughout the pot. Luckily, I caught this before it had become rotten. Gecko, didn't you once say that you were watering every 3 days or so? maybe try one good watering about once a week. I switched to once a week, and they seemed to immediately benefit. Most of their growth happened as the soil became drier and drier. Probably because the roots were finally able to breathe. GOOOOD LUCK, Hombre! ~~hb Thanks for that link, highguy, I'll try it and let you know how it compared to my commercial tester.
