| I have several seedlings that are now about 3inches tall and I take them outside during the day. Today was a particularly windy\gusty day. When I came to get them to bring them inside, 2 of the plants had broken at the soil level. They are still attached and so I just filled in some dirt around them to support them. Will they survive? Most of the stems are pretty strong for their size because they get wind during the day, but they are still in the baby stage. Does anybody have photos of plants of this size? They are starting on the forth set of leaves. | ||

| If they die just cut a clean slice where it is not dead and dip in rooting powder. It seems that they are to young to do this but i tried for the hell of it and they are rooting. It will take a bit for them to start growing cause it has to heal amd form new roots. Donyt expect to see new growth but if they dont get wilty they are doing fine. | ||

If the stalk is broken at the base the plant will suffer throughout its life and the yeild will be diminished. If you get a new root system the plant should recover and be better off. You should prune the plant back before youtry and root it. | ||
