i heard that if you pinch just the edges off the leaves from the time of sprouting it will shock the plant into creating more thc content. is this true and will affect my plant in any way, other than looking ugly?

This is definitely not true. It will shock you plant, but this will only harm it.

actually i did try it on 1 plant. just to see what would happen. about 2 days after i pinched the first few leaves. i got these very thin long white hairs growing from the plant. is that normal? do you know what it is. btw the plant is only 5" tall and have been exposed to a 24h light cycle.

WELL WHEN YOU START TO FLOWER YOUR FEMALES WILL GET TWO WHITE HAIRS WHERE THE BUD IS BUT THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE IF YOUR PLANT IS ONLY 5 INCHES.
