| Well, hi all i have been growing for a few years but never from seed, i usually jsut buy clones that have been rooted around begining of join and slap them in the soil. This year i grew from seeds and i am doing rather well, but i started 4 to test temperatures outside in my area, i planted them in my garden as soon as they sprouted, now its been 2 weeks they are about an inch and half tall, they have very large leaves though fro being to small, i have a feeling that since the temperature is soo low they are not growing upward very well. I live in ontario canada and the temps about 70-75 in the day now and drops to about 45-50 at night, now i know that those temps are bad for the plant thats why i keep placing test ones outside, but is my plants hieght being stunted because of the cold temperatures at night. Anyone got any ideas why the babies arn't shootin up? Thanks all Bye | ||

| Well I hope by giving this info your actually going to help out and not just say that i am lieing, why would i come on here and give false info for no reason? I meant my plants where STARTING tehre second leaves, and the first set were as long and about as fat as half my finger. i now know it was a temp problem i am pretty sure. But i now have a different problem, the raccoons in my area have knocked over the pots i had them in repeatedly and they are dieing, the first set of leaves are half brown and wilting, but the second set keep growing and look fine. Has anyoen had to experience this problem before? the plants will still be able to grow without there primary leaves if they die correct? i am not worried really i have been growin for a couple years and i kinda know how to handle it, i would just like some info. Thanks | ||

| Ignore TNJ82, sux to be him.(BTW..TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK MAN!!) Yeah, cool temps really slow down growth, but it's no prob as long as it doesn't get too cold. They'll continue to grow at a normal rate as soon as it warms back up. I'm in SE On and have had plants in pots out for a week to get them acclimatized no problems. As for the damaged plant, are you sure it's because they've been knocked over? It's shapeing up to be an early spring....YEEE HAWW | ||
