![]() | Friday is fert day. I use Miracle Gro tomato food -- it's 20-20-20, and Baby luvs it so far. She's indoors, fluro 24/0, 8wks old, fert 1x per wk and leach w/ water 1x per wk. What about Epsom Salts? Lit says this increases magnesium and sulphur, and I want her to be healthy as possible and maybe just enhance her feeding with it once to see how it goes. Anyone use Epsom salts? Results?

![]() | You're right, it'll increase the magnesium but you only want to add it when you need it. If the leaves turn up, thats a sign of magnesium deficiency. If you're plant is healthy, don't touch it... don't fix what isn't broken. Too much magnesium will cause a nutrient lockout for another important nute. doob

![]() | Exactly. The edges of the leaves turn up and in to the center of the leaf. When this happens, there are a couple possibilities to pinpoint the problem - it's not always a mag. deficiency. It could be that your pot is not draining sufficiently. If a plant is sitting in stagnant moisture (meaning the nutes aren't going through the holes on the bottom of the pot) this curlage will happen. doob
