anyone use a rapitest mini ph meter and rapitest mini water meter? how reliable are they. Its been about a week since I last watered a newly transplanted lady and she has been growing a lot. its just always reads that it is in the wet zone. ive read through some threads but couldn't get a measure on what you guys thought. i only have one plant so i didn't get anything special.

![]() | If your meter always reads that it's in the wet zone, it's probably always wet. Allow your plants to complete dry out before you water them. You will know because they start to droop abit. Cannabis likes to be watered this way. Be careful not to overwater. Hope this helps, Purp

![]() | I also use a rapitest meter. My meter measures PH and for reason best known to the inventor when the probe is not in the dirt it reads 7.0 ph and whenver it is in the dirt depending on the amount of water it reads from 4 to 6 ph..now i find this amusing since i know for a fact that my water supply is around 8 ph and my soil is buffered to around 7.0 so in reality the meter should be reading as high pH. yet it always reads low but then..only when wet so..i have come the the conclusion that who ever assmbled the meter obviuosly made a mistake and put the guts of moisture meter in the PH package LOL. so my advoice is good luck use your instincts and try not to rely on machines too much.GOD needed no machines to create them...nature cares for them simply with fresh water and sunshine...... so why not let your instinct be your guide...water, light, fresh air, and most important of all...patience. . .Rome was not built in a day ![]()

![]() | How much does your planter weigh? Give it a hoist and see if you can tell, by the weight, just how much water is in the pot, meaning the planter. If you have not watered in a while, you can give it a flush with 3X pot size i.e.: 1gl. X3=3gl. 5gl. X3 =15gl. Ect. Give it a hoist so you know what it feels like being well watered and remember how the ‘dry(er)’ pot felt. Step on the bathroom scale at the same time and, WHALLA! Now you know how to weigh in you pots. (I would have tried this at home, first, but I have no scale…) I am a rabid 'rapitest' meter hater![]()

![]() | Great info. I think I will buy the cheaper meter on that page. Both are accurate to .2 and I don't need a moisture meter. Thanks again!See ya ![]() [color=purple]P.S. I had that bonghit, I'm laughing[COLOR/]![]()
