growing plants together better? (mycorrhizae)
permalink

I have no clue is this is in the right form if its not please move it thanks

i was reading through my bio book and read that trees in some forest actually create a web underground that inter links them this web of fungi tranfers carbon compounds produced by one tree to another so trees with abundant amount of sunlight share with other plants inwhich or not getting as much light they tranfer photosynthetic products from the rich trees to the poor (mycorrhizae)

so my question is will this work for marijuana? instead of individual containers is it better to grow them in one large one?
and how would the nutes work out would it be easier or harder to tend to the plants when they need nutes and adjusting the PH?
if anyone knows about this subject i would love to have some insight on the matter
thanks DiRK

im not sure about the whole transfering carbon compounds n the web or roots n all that other stuff(never go to AP bio2)....i know ive seen a lot of posts w/ senior members saying its not a good idea. from my understanding the plants will fight over root space n can end up killing each other.

also...if you just want female plants, and say you got 2 n a big pot and one turns out male and other female, you'd end up messin females roots up while tryin to get the male out.

it would probably be harder for the nutes n stabalizing the ph as well, say plant a has a nitrogen def. and you give it a fert w/ a high N, you could cause plant b to get nute burned.

ive started 2 n a bigger pot once n it was harder to transplant them once they were a week-2wks old.

IMHO i think keeping them seperated would be better, never had a problem w/ them, but feel free to experiment. interesting concept.
