![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Im a first time grower...My plants are not even in flower yet; But everyone says when the Pistols (hairs) turn 65-75% red, brown or amber, it is time to harvest. Some say to achieve peak ripeness, harvest when the trichomes turn cloudy and begin to swell like a mushroom shape. I guess you would need a microscope or high powered magnifying glass. Stoney high=higher percentage of colored pistils and amber colored trichomes. More heady high=less percentage of colored pistils, clearer trichomes. Hope that helped, im still learnin'

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hey, the general rule of thumb seems to be that when about 2/3 of the pistils change from white to reddish brown then they're about done...hope this helps! ~peace ![]()

Get thee hence unto thy local Radio Shack. Ask for an Illuminated Microscope #63-1133. It should be around $10 US. Take snippets of sweet leaf from the buds to check for ripeness. You will be able to see the trichomes clearly because it zooms from 60 - 100x. Remember the mantra: CLEAR to CLOUDY to AMBER ![]() | ||
