Do plants grow in dry spell?
permalink

Upon reading various threads regarding the occasional dry spell for our plants, i have decided to give it a go. I have not watered my potted sativa for nearly 2 weeks. Before this, i kept her soil damp and she was very healthy. I'm wondering what the point of the dry spells are, and what if any benefit can be achieved by doing so.

Also, i have not noticed any new growth in the past week. Do plants cease growth during these dry spells?

more info would be good but

2 weeks seems a bit long to me,is she droop'n?

when you let the soil dry out the roots must go search'n geting bigger as they do so.....bigger roots=bigger stronger plant....and bigger buds

i water every 4-5 days with my soil mix....i watch for her to droop abit then water.

2 weeks with no water or food might be a problem with the lack of growth

feed her its time
