![]() ![]() | Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how bad it is, how far grown it is and how much you demand out of it afterward. I discovered one just after the stretch in flowering was done. Couldnt figure out why this sucker looked so sick. When I finally lifted her from the pot, half the soil in the bottom was unused. Did what I could, loosened up the roots(that awful tearing sound), replaced the original medium remaining, and put her back. She never really recovered fully, but I got 20 grams out of her, so it was worth it to me. Good luck with her Smokin

![]() | I don't have the problem, but I most likely will because people say its not good to transplant while flowering,I have only had the light cycle 12/12 for 6 days.I have 8 plants I can only see one female preflower on 1 plant and I can see1 male preflower.Does anyone think I should go back to the vegging stage for a week or so to transplant,or just keep flowering and hope the rootbound won't kill them, they are only 10 inches tall in a 8 GALLON POT!!!!!!!!! thanks again

A root bound plant is one who's roots are overlaping, if you will, each other. It's like a crazy man off the street strangling you, you cant breath. When you transplant a "rootbound" plant you should try to break up the rootbound-ness, just simply peck at the roots freeing them of "prior engagements". I have done this many times, with lavender,geraniums,etc.. and mary jane. I now just use 3 gallons pots, these work great. I was reading a post similar to this at another site which went in-depth into the pot size and significance, etc.. On a side note, Where can i find Clear Pots...this would make life so much easier. sh0time

![]() | A plant is a plant, a man is a man and I can breath. Plants roots won't strangle themselves. If cannabis is already flowering, breaking roots might reduce crop weight, compared to transplanting without breaking roots. What are Clear Pot's?

I meant un-coil the roots, you can do this by spraying them down, pecking them apart, etc....http://www.homestore.com/LawnGarden/.../Rootbound.asp And when i said strangled i was refering to the roots not going any farther. small roots not breath. Clear pots, what does it sound like, Clear pots instead of colored pots, ie, green pots, red pots WHY not clear!!! sh0time

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello people, Why not clear pots ? well the light from the lamps would kill the roots thats why ![]() I would give serious consideration to repoting a flowering plant mid cycle, you will be in for quite a yield reduction if you disturb those roots too much, its often better to flower it out, rootbound or not than to repot and risk death of the plant. just my opinion, OzGrowa
