![]() | I have reveged plants that started out being the ugliest thing, weird leaves and deformation, but then they change like a butterfly and become beautiful ladies. Maybe that is the case with your plant.

She is a rockwool rooted clone of some designer genetics--only one I couldn't read the stick on...drifting pH...mostly 5.9-6.2 but I've dropped it as low as 5.2 and drifted up...GH nutes, 600-800 ppm most of her life and now at about 1000 ppm flowering... Yes, the freak has been through a lot! When I got my clones, I didn't realize how behind the curve I was. Because I was slow to get them into the proper hydro setup, I believe I light-burned and also physically brutalized the roots sticking out of the rockwool of my clones through improper handling and storage. Some I had longer than others. I wonder if they might have become root bound in the rock wool. I think they got some form of root rot because of the dead outer roots. Oh, and algae of one or more form was also growing very rapidly on the cubes. Surely choking whatever roots were alive inside. Then, just when I was putting them in the system I noticed a bug infestation (found out 4 weeks later that it was thrips). Been killin' 'em with nicotine spray...very, very effective. I think my oscillating fan has been equally helpful and disruptive for them. I also hit the rockwool with a very, very weak dose of bleach water. Spiked them every three days for a while with Hydrogen Peroxide. Yes, they've been through a lot. 4 weeks ago I'd say the best plants were 30% yellow and the worst 80%. Most looked worse than pictures you see in the plant abuse threads! Amazingly, all plants I started with lived! 5 of 30 didn't catch up with the rest so I tossed 'em anyway. MJ is very, very tough...especially the designer genetics plants... She is the only one to turn into some sort of freak though. The rest look like beautiful, mostly healthy plants--only showing signs minor signs of past devistation on older fan leaves. I thought they were dead...I'm still amazed. I included pics of a few healthy plants below that went through the same ![]() ![]() ![]() e...Hmm_Yes, I impatiently noticed another sign of something yesterday. The smell of the plants has changed significantly...and oh what a sweet smell!!! Last edited by BongShelter; 11-10-2005 at 02:45 PM.. | ||
