I saw my first trichomes using my handy-dandy Radio Shack 10x magnifying glass. Only on one plant. Does this mean anything for flowering? Ironically, it is the weirdest looking of my 25 plants and the only one whose strain I cannot name--couldn't read the stake when I got it home )I've never seen anything like this plant. The node spacing is almost impossibly tight and the leaves are quite varied in shape and size. Most do not even resemble hemp leaves. I would have thought they were from some other plant if I didn't know better. But, the trichomes are undeniable evidence of MJ.

Maybe my question doesn't make sense but I may have learned from your reply. Deformation is common with hemies? This thing is wickedly deformed for a hemp plant. I will watch it extra closely.

![]() ![]() | LOL! Orange, I'll try to post a pic soon...it's about time I figure out if I can get better closeup photos with my old digital camera...it was OK in its day...I'm just not sure that the lens or the old CCD are good enough to do such closeup photography--I'll see what I can do with some lighting variations...

Here ya go Orange, I don't think the pics do her justice. Remember, it hasn't been in Flower long enough to look all that different. This is how it grew in Veg. All kinds of weird leaves, some serrated, some not, some partially, one leaf with a leaf finger, leaves curled and gnarled in weird directions, real tight growth for all but the top node. It may not be that weird in the grand scheme of things, but I've never seen any plant even similar. I couldn't resist posting a few other pics of my favorite Pot of Gold, and Train Wreck, and my room. Last edited by BongShelter : 11-10-2005 at 02:08 PM.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Not to be rude BS, but that is one ugly looking plant. Very odd looking indeed. Any history behind it as to why it looks this way? I'm guessing this plant is from seed... Do you know where the seed came from? Random bagseed? What's your pH? What are you fertilizing with? The hooking and discolored leaves could be a sign of unbalanced pH or over fertilizing. That is definitely a freak. That is a plant truly worthy for this thread. Post a pic of your FREAK here
