The purple is usually a sign of nitrogen problems. Not sure about the white. When the stalk turns purple you can usually fix it quickly by doing a flush and then readjusting your nutrient levels when you change the res.

What is the temps for your grow? That can usually make plants turn purple as well.

Hey high grade,

Purpling can be caused by cooler temps, or maybe a Magnesium deficiency....could just be strain related too...Dunno about the white one Any pics?

check for spider mites. I had the same problem. Leaves started turning white like they were bleached out. spider mites are so small you barely see them. use a mag glass. look under the leaf for tiny black spots the size of a grain of sand.

Purpling can also be caused by hot temperatures and P deficiency. P deficiency can cause stem purpling in a millisecond depending on the cultivar.

From what ive read most of the purpling on the branching is from temps. Mine did that when i vegged them under an hps. But they did great othere than that. Cool off your room if there fine it should stop. Then go to nutrient difficiency. That way you dont make a more costly mistake.

peace

yeah try adjusting the temps before you go messing with the nutes.. and I thought that purpling was a P deficiency. an N deficiency is when your leaves start turning yellow.
